FNF: Oneida vs. Homer - Football

Class B Semifinal between Oneida and Homer.
Game one of the Class B Semi-finals at Chittenango, top seeded Homer taking on 4th seeded Oneida.

We pick this game up just before the half, it's Homer QB Drew Cottrell scrambling to his left, he hits Jake Casey for the 42 yard gain.  That would set up a 16 yard field goal and Homer would trail Oneida 12-9 at the half.

The 2nd half however belonged to Oneida.  First up was senior running back Dylan Cafalone squeezing his way in from four yards out.  That would put Oneida up 18-9.

Then in the fourth quarter, after a muffed punt return by Homer it's Indians QB Rory McCarthy from 5 yards out, he fakes left and goes right and McCarthy dives to find the corner of the endzone.

That would put Oneida up 24-9, they go on to beat Homer 31-9.

Oneida will now take on Cazenovia next Sunday at the Carrier Dome for the Class B Championship.

After the game I caught up with head coach Bill Carinci and seniors David Carroll and Dylan Cafalone about the win.
