The next phase for the Nano Tech Park here in the Mohawk Valley has the go-ahead. The Marcy Nanocenter site getting a long-awaiting permit from the Army Corps of Engineers. That means this land you see here can soon begin to be developed into a computer chip manufacturing plant. It's adjacent to the SUNIT campus and just a mile from the interstate. Quad-C, the first phase of the Nano Project is nearing completion. The Marcy Nanocenter still has a ways to go before ground can be broken. "We've got probably a good solid twelve months of preparatory work that we have to do in order to shape the site, so that the construction can begin. The actual timing of that is going to be a function of when CNSE is ready to pull the trigger," said Scott Dimeo of Mohawk Valley EDGE.
