Fresh off its first pre-season victory in franchise history, the Utica Comets is welcoming a new member to its broadcast team.

Alex Faust will work alongside play-by-play man Brendan Burke and will also handle play-by-play duties for select games.

Faust joins the Comets after two seasons as the voice of the Staten Island Yankees, a short-season minor league affiliate of the New York Yankees.

Faust, a 2012 Northeastern University graduate, will also continue to be the voice of Northeastern Men's basketball and will continue to broadcast college hockey on a fill-in basis.

While in college, Faust was recognized as one of the top up-and-coming broadcasters in the nation, becoming the first non-senior to win the Jim Nantz Award.
