Oneida County has a rich history and it takes work to preserve it. Each year a fundraiser helps the Oneida County Historical Society do just that. A telethon is set for tomorrow evening from 6-30 until 8. Funds raised by the telethon account for 20% of the Historical Society's annual operating revenue.
"If you think about having a photo album, that's your house, well that's kind of what historical societies are for the communities they serve and it's vitally important that we continue to operate and to provide that level of service," said Brian Howard, executive director of the Oneida County Historical Society.
The phone number to call in a pledge or renew a membership is 315-735-3642.
Everyone who calls in will be placed in a drawing for a visit to the spa, a white river rafting trip, and other prizes.
