SU falls to Georgia Tech 67-62 on Senior Night at the Dome; drops 4 of last 5 games

Syracuse (WSYR-TV/SportsNetwork.com) - Syracuse University didn’t have the answers Tuesday night as Georgia Tech defeated the Orange 67-62 in the Carrier Dome on Senior Night.

In his last game at the Dome, senior forward C.J. Fair went out swinging with 28 points and 8 rebounds in a losing effort. Fair scored 23 of his 28 points in the second half.

SU freshman point guard Tyler Ennis had 18 points and 7 assists.

The already-thin Orange struggled without Jerami Grant and received just 16 points from players not named Fair and Ennis.

The Yellow Jackets were led by senior duo Trae Golden and Daniel Miller. Golden had 16 points and Miller scored 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and blocked 6 shots.

Georgia Tech had dropped four games in a row coming into the matchup.

Seniors Fair, Baye Moussa Keita, Russ DeRemer and Nolan Hart were honored before the game.

SU has now suffered defeat in 4 of its last 5 games after starting the season with 25 consecutive victories.

Up next, the Orange will travel to Tallahassee to play Florida State on Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m.
