Some avenues for tickets available for SU fans heading to Buffalo

With Syracuse University practically playing in its own backyard in nearby Buffalo, Orange fans are already snatching up tickets.
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – With Syracuse University practically playing in its own backyard in nearby Buffalo, Orange fans are already snatching up tickets.

SU is a No. 3 seed in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament and the Orange will face 14 seed Western Michigan on Thursday at 2:45 p.m.

A win will put SU against Ohio State or Dayton at First Niagara Arena on Saturday.

SU only has a certain number of tickets allotted to its fans – and those are earmarked for donors at a certain level.

But the First Niagara Arena in Buffalo seats almost 19,000 for basketball – so there are other ways to find tickets.

Through the NCAA, tickets in the upper level are available for $198 for every game – but finding a pair of seats together might be a challenge.

Ticketmaster is offering tickets for $144 to start for the first session of games on Thursday.

Starting at $185, there are a few tickets available on the lower level of the arena.

In the secondary market, vendors such as Stub Hub are selling tickets for session one, featuring SU, in the upper level for as little as $93 – lower level tickets are available for $150.

Another vendor, Prime Sport, is selling upper level tickets starting at $100 – with a few dozen seats available in the lower level at $140, again just for that first session.

If you’re looking for tickets through a secondary market site, the prices can vary dramatically.
