Tomorrow is another big day for raising money for cancer research here in the Mohawk valley. Some local middle school kids are joining the cause tonight as well.
They're from Sauquoit middle school and have their own team and booth tomorrow in the Sauquoit relay for life.
So far they are raising money, blowing up purple and white balloons and making handmade luminaries to honor and remember those fighting cancer.
"It feels good because you know that even though it might not, we might not find a cure at least we're at least we're raising money and supporting the cause," said middle schooler Kassie Berry.
"It gets you excited, like you're actually doing something to help your community," said middle schooler Danielle Mangini.
So far the Sauquoit middle schoolers are close to raising ten thousand dollars for the cause and hope to go over that amount tomorrow during the relay.
