As this gigantic snow sculpture shows, Erin is a huge deal here in Remsen and she was a huge deal again here tonight as the people of Remsen celebrated her Bronze medal with a full on Parade.
"It's a really big deal for Remsen," said Ryan Graves.
"It's awesome and I can believe she went this far,” Said Madelyn McCormack.
“It's amazing a girl from a small town and it’s just amazing," said Mckenna Jones.
Erin’s presence is all over Remsen.
"Since we've been little, this is her third one we've grown up with her name around the house and around town," said Makenna Cooley.
The parents of Remsen say they're proud to have her as a role model for their kids.
"There are a lot of negative things for kids to look at in the news unfortunately, but this is a great thing and it’s from a small town," said parent Wendy Cooley.
The Kids already look up to Erin.
"It's just a big goal and such a huge inspiration," said Makenna Cooley.
"It’s just really cool that there is an Olympian from our school and I just think it’s really cool,” said Madelyn McCormack.
“I get to do that when I'm older,” said Mckenna Jones.
It’s easy to see that Erin has already influenced the kids here in Remsen and I wouldn’t be surprised if she inspires more kids to chase Olympic dreams.
