Community leaders and members gathered to celebrate the grand opening. The president of Oneida County Tourism says Union Station is the perfect spot for the new center.
"More than 195,000 thousand people coming and going and transacting business from this station every year, so we can clearly see the need to provide services,” said Kelly Blazosky, Oneida County Tourism President.
The bureau's Welcome Center at Exit 31 will continue to welcome visitors entering Oneida County from the Thruway seven days a week. The new Welcome Center is open Monday through Friday.
