The countdown to the Job Fair Extraordinaire is now down to just five days. As promised, Eyewitness News is spotlighting a different vendor every day leading up to the event.
The Indium Corporation located right in Clinton will be one of the many companies recruiting at Wednesday’s job fair. Indium Corporation is an electronic materials manufacturing company. Representatives from the corporation say they're growing rapidly and are always looking for new additions to the team.
"Oh, we love going to the career fairs, the community is important to us, we know that people don't always understand what we do, we want to teach people about Indium, make sure people know that we're here, that we're growing and we've got these great opportunities," said Dawn Roller, Director of HQ Services at the Indium Corporation.
Opportunities you may be interested in.
"Right now, we have a few different openings, we have a full time opening for a talent acquisition manager because we're growing and we need to add to our HR staff and we have three summer positions open for college students so these would be paid internships," says Roller.
Indium Corporation designs and produces materials that are used to make electronic devices like cell phones and iPads. They’ve been right here in Central New York for 80 years and with Nano-Utica coming to town, employees say the business will only continue to grow, which is why if you're interested in the field the career fair could be your chance to jump right in. Roller says just remember to come prepared.
"Don’t be nervous, come with a smile, be yourself, be professional, be organized, have a notepad, have your information ready, bring your resume and stop by and ask lots of questions employers like to talk about their job and what's available,” said Roller.
Indium Corporation is locally owned and operated. They now have headquarters in eleven different countries so be sure to check out their booth at the Job Fair Extraordinaire.
