In Utica hundreds of turning-out for the 30th annual Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon at the Radisson.
The Mohawk valley frontier's club sponsors the event.
It includes speakers and remembrances of Dr. King's struggle for racial equality and all human rights.
Proceeds benefit a number of community service projects the Mohawk Valley Frontier's sponsor every year.
"This is an important event for them in order to raise those funds to be able to give back. Everything is about giving back. Nothing is for 'the frontier is to be this that and another thing' it’s for what they can do to help others. That’s what Dr. King was all about, helping others, " said luncheon attendee Angela Smith.
Attendance at the event has risen year-by-year.
