A murder charge against a Utica man will be dismissed. Derrick Carter pleading guilty to first-degree assault and admitting to providing a loaded gun to another person. That gun was then used to kill 50-year-old Charles Digristine Junior in Rome. Initially accused of killing Digristine himself, he said the gun was provided for the purpose of drug transactions. He will be sentenced seven years in prison.
