Cooperstown Distillery Opening Soon

Utica is home to the Adirondack Distillery, but soon it won't be alone. A "boutique distillery" in Cooperstown is set to open. It's called the Cooperstown Distillery and it's currently in the process of making hand-crafted vodka, gin, and bourbon. New York State has the most small distilleries in the country, thanks to legislation that has streamlined the start-up process. Owners say something that will set this distillery apart from others is its unique packaging... some of which honors Cooperstown's rich baseball history. "All these bottles are individually hand blown, very difficult, very intricate, it's not only shaped like a baseball, but it actually has the baseball stitching and the seams the bottom pedestal that it sits on is shaped like a baseball diamond and we expect it to do very well," said owner Gene Marra.
