COMMUTER ALERT – State Street, Utica ramps closed

According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the State Street ramps, in Utica, will be closed for the next six weeks for a bridge joint replacement.
According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the State Street ramps, in Utica, will be closed for the next six weeks for a bridge joint replacement.

The ramp closure is scheduled to be in place starting Wednesday morning and signed detours are in place.

Motorists traveling on the North-South Arterial (5/8/12) northbound, wishing to exit to Route 5S east will be directed to continue on Route 12 north, exit onto I-790 east/Route 5 east, exit to Genesee Street south, right onto Genesee Street to John Street exit, follow signs to Route 5S east.

Motorists traveling on the North-South Arterial (5/8/12) northbound wanting to access State Street will be directed to exit at Court Street.

Motorists traveling on State Street wishing to access Route 12 north will be directed to exit onto Route 5S east, left onto John Street, merge onto Genesee Street north, right onto Auert Ave., right onto I-790 west/Route 5 west, to Route 12 north.
