Boxer-mix Autumn, clings to life

Autumn, a boxer-mix found emaciated in Utica, clings to life, but vets are still hopeful she'll make a full recovery.
Autumn, a boxer-mix found emaciated in Utica, clings to life, but vets are still hopeful she'll make a full recovery.

Autumn is still in critical condition at the Stevens-Swan Humane Society.

The dog was found yesterday on Whitesboro Street by Utica Police.

Stevens-Swan Humane Society posted a new picture of Autumn on its facebook page this morning.

Right now, a group called "Lainey's Army," is offering a $1,200 reward -- which is up from last night -- for any information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible.

According to the Steven's-Swan Humane Society, Autumn is alert and has been able to walk around.  Currently, they're waiting for bones in her GI track to pass.

Because of her weight, Autumn is not a good candidate for surgery, but vets say they will perform surgery if life threatening complications develop.

If you would like to help Autumn, you can do so by making a donation to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society at 738-4357.
