"Make a list of all the people you buy for and set limits. Don't buy things on a whim. Stick to a budget, stick to a list, don't wait until the last minute. A lot of times when you wait for the last minute, you spend more money than you would've if you were organized and prepared and did it ahead of time," says Amy Bellavia, Certified Credit Counselor.

Some smart spending experts say the best deals will happen after Black Friday weekend. Eyewitness News is told the week of December 8th to the 14th is the best week for low prices.
