Area Church Members Remeber the True Meaning of Christmas

A lot of us can get caught up in the commercial side of the Christmas holiday. Of course, the presents, the visit from Santa Claus, food and decorations are all important but for many so is the true spirit of the holiday.

Members of Grace Episcopal Church in Utica say that joy, coming together and peace on Earth make up the true meaning of Christmas now more than ever
"It's more of a message of joy and happiness and everyone getting along together with each other which is something I think the world desperately needs to hear today especially with fighting in the Middle East, fighting in Africa, fighting even in our own country here, we really need to get back to the core of Christmas which is everyone being nice to each other,” says Timothy Davis, Assistant Organist at the church.
The church held a communion service Tuesday night at 5 pm and another service is set later on for 11 pm.
