Don't count on seeing Evan McEneny at the Aud anytime soon.
General Manager Ryan Johnson announced Monday McEneny has undergone knee surgery and will be out approximately six months. Assuming everything goes according to plan, that would mean his season is likely over.
McEneny left the Comets' Nov. 15th game against the LaVal Rocket early with what was described as a lower-body injury, and hasn't practiced since. In 11 games this season, McEneny scored two goals and had five assists.
He was proving to be an offensive force playing the point on the power-play and made key contributions on the penalty kill before his injury.
The Comets will be back in action on Wednesday night against Syracuse.
