High School Baseball: Drama for Proctor, Whitesboro

Baseball drama all around the Mohawk Valley.

At Murnane Field, Proctor picks up a come-from-behind, walk-off 3-2 victory over Fayetteville Manlius.

Vincenzo Castronovo tied the game with a bases-loaded walk, and then David Antone came through with the game-winning single scoring Anthony Giglio.  With the win, the Raiders even up their record at 1-1.

In Whitesboro, Avery Cook outduels Dean Langman with an 11-strikeout gem to lead the Warriors to a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Spartans.  New Hartford had the tying-run at third with two outs in the seventh, but Cook got Andrew Fink to ground out to first to end it.

Whitesboro will be in action next on Tuesday morning against Camden, while New Hartford visits VVS on Thursday.
