Girls Soccer: Poland cruises, Dolgeville storms back

Poland girls soccer has no plans on letting up anytime soon.

The Tornadoes jumped out to a 4-0 halftime lead over Remsen, before adding two more goals in the second half to get the 6-0 road victory.

It's Poland's sixth straight triumph overall, and during that streak they've outscored the opposition 39-0.

Riley Wisheart got the scoring started just over 15 minutes in when her chip shot sailed over the keeper.  Carliza Roark doubled the lead to two nothing when she weaved her way through two defenders to score from point blank range.  Two minutes later, Wisheart made it 3-0 off a long-distance shot, and the in the final seconds of the half, Keara Blumenstock extended the lead to 4-0.

Blumenstock added another in the second half, as did Wisheart, who tallied a hat trick on the day.

In Frankfort-Schuyler, the Maroon Knights let a late 2-1 lead vanish against Dolgeville, who went on to get the 3-2 overtime win.

Alexis Smith tied the game at two with just over 11 minutes remaining, and then Emma Bilinski scored off a free kick in overtime to end it.
