The Galaxy Cup is headed to Syracuse.
The Crunch edged the Comets 2-1 in overtime on Friday night to clinch the Galaxy Cup crown. Carter Verhaeghe scored the OT winner for Syracuse.
After a scoreless first period, Daniel Walcott opened the scoring early in the second off a turnover to get the Crunch on the board.
Michael Carcone tied things up with 25 seconds left in the frame off a breakaway, and a scoreless third period sent the game into overtime where Verhaege ended it.
The Comets will be back in action tomorrow night against the Senators. Faceoff from Belleville is set for 7pm.
**Jonathan Dahlen was a healthy scratch for the Comets, but is expected to be in the lineup in Belleville.**
