ROME NY - UPDATE:
Paul Guarneri,47, is charged with Robbery in the 1st degree in connection with the bank robbery. Guarneri was arraigned in Rome City court and is currently being held in the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
The Oneida County District Attorney's Office has confirmed to Eyewitness News,
that the Rome Police Department has made an arrest in this case. The identity is being withheld while officials
continue to investigate the possibility of this suspect's involvement in another open investigation here in the Mohawk Valley.
More information is scheduled to be released Tuesday morning.
Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Adirondack Bank in Rome at gunpoint.
The Black River Boulevard branch was robbed shortly after 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
Rome Police are searching for white man wearing a partial mask.
He allegedly hopped over the counter with a semi-automatic handgun, demanding cash from employees.
There's no indication of how much money was stolen.
