The fall semester at SUNY Oneonta begins on Monday and a new academic building is now officially open.

The Fitzelle Hall is the largest academic building on campus to meet tough new standards to make it "green."

A variety of departments including Latino studies, mathematics, computer science, and philosophy call it home.

It takes up 100-thousand square feet and even includes a cafe.   It's 30-thousand-feet larger now - but with environmental improvements it uses 20 less energy.
