Retirement parties are meant for nice words.  But it has not always been smooth-sailing for Donna Donovan.  She's powerful.  She's controversial.  She's vocal about being pro-life.
She's even received death threats over the years for her stands - and her newspaper's stand on some issues.
This week Eyewitness News spent some time at the OD with Donavon for a talk and a tour.
And you get just that feeling as Donovan makes her way around the OD.  The same way she has every day for decades.
One of Donovan’s favorites stops -the smell of the old locking down where the smell of printers ink still lingers, even though the paper no longer printed here.
And those incredible people are journalists, editors, graphics artists.  And many more who have come to view Donovan as both a friend - a publishing icon.
As her legacy - Donovan already has an answer for that question.
