He may have lost the congressional race but Martin Babinec says the very same goals he had while running are the very ones he's carrying out now. Babinec tells me there's simply no regrets when it comes to the campaign.
"In 26 years more than 5 thousand congressional elections have been held and not a single independent candidate has been elected so I knew the odds where long, but I went into it with a commitment, with a lot of resources that I plowed into it and with certain values that I would hold true to and I ran the kind of campaign that I wanted to turn so I don't look back on it with regret.
No one puts as much energy and resources into a campaign with the expectation of losing alright, so of course it was a disappointment but at the same time I don't have any regrets about going down that path."
