Former Syracuse University head coach Paul Pasqualoni has been fired from the top post in UConn’s football program.

Pasqualoni arrived at the Huskies' program after multiple successful seasons as an NFL assistant and more than a decade at the helm of SU’s program.

George DeLeone – a former offensive coordinator with the Orange during Pasqualoni’s tenure – was also relieved of his duties at UConn.

The school announced Pasqualoni’s firing on Monday morning.

Pasqualoni was SU’s head coach from 1991 to 2004.

He was hired by UConn in 2011.

The Huskies are currently 0-4 on the season, including a blowout loss at the University at Buffalo.
