The Tabernacle Baptist Church in downtown Utica is calling on the community's support to keep the church from literally falling down.
The church is a registered historical site in the state of New York that is now is suffering from a lot of weather damage. They need the support of the community to help secure a grant from new york state to make repairs.
"The buildings a hundred and fifty years old, it’s served the congregation well up until this point, but it is at the point where it needs major repairs and so we're launching this campaign to make certain that this remains a safe and welcoming place to continue to do ministry and outreach to the community," said Tabernacle Baptist Church Pastor Mark Caruana.
Church officials say it would cost around a million bucks to fully fix everything this is structurally wrong with the church.
