Today there was an army, of sorts, on Commercial Drive in New Hartford... And people were shouting from the rooftops. It was the animal activist group Lainey's Army, staging a rally and fundraiser to end animal abuse. This marks their second annual garage sale to raise money for the group. The sale continues throughout the weekend and the group is also asking for donations of dog and cat food .Kim Strong - the founder of Lainey's Army wants their message heard loud and clear. Lainey's Army says visual demonstrations help them get their point across. In the past members have stood outside in the cold and sat in hot cars to demonstrate cruelty to animals.
