Kristin’s Fund Gala, a star-studded evening to honor the life of Kristin Palumbo Longo will be held Saturday, March 11th, at Turning Stone Resort Casino at This fundraising event for Kristin’s Fund will feature several VIP guests from the world of professional football, acclaimed author and activist, Tony Porter, and the first Kristin’s Fund Awards presentation.
On September 28, 2009, Kristin, a mother of four and registered nurse, was killed by her husband in the ultimate act of domestic violence. Her siblings, Gina Pearce and Joseph Palumbo, founded Kristin’s Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to focus on domestic violence awareness, education and prevention. “The Kristin’s Fund Gala gives us a chance to honor Kristin, while creating critical awareness and community collaboration to forward our mission and save lives,” Pearce said.
