"Kitty" Comes Home
By Mary Wilson | firstname.lastname@example.org
We have a very happy ending to a story we told you about earlier on Eyewitness News. A Deerfield family was devastated after they say, a woman in a blue car stole their cat right off their lawn. The family posted a sign outside their home asking for their cat - named Kitty - to be returned safely - and that caught the eye of one of our reporters. We aired the story and the emotional pleas of the missing cat's owner and thankfully someone in Rome was watching. The cat was taken June 6th and more than a month later, somehow ended up miles away. But tonight - Kitty is reunited with his loving family. "Every day you come home thinking that maybe one day he will be in the driveway like he used to be, and we really never gave up hope, just kind of every day coming home and then we get that phone call, and we were ecstatic!" said Charlene Rivera, the cat owner.
