Jarvis Middle School Has Two Lockouts Tuesday

Two Kids Charged Tuesday

MOHAWK, NY - Jarvis Middle School in Mohawk went into its second lockout of the day early Tuesday afternoon. Students were released close to the normal dismissal time. There was no foundation to the threat made against the school and an arrest was made.


The day started with a lockout and shelter in place. That lockout was ended about noon. Mohawk Police say that two youngsters were arrested and charges in connection with the threats made early on Tuesday. There was an arrest made on Monday after a threat resulted in the school going into lockdown for a large part of the day.


Tuesday, as the school day was close to coming to an end, another shelter in place/lockout was declared. It was the fourth threat made against the school in the last two days. Of the four threats made in the past two days, two were written and one was a verbal threat.
