Cuomo Signs Bill to Combat Heroin

Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed legislation combating the growing heroin and opioid epidemic statewide.

The governor appearing at Binghamton University signed the bill improving treatment for those battling heroin and opioid addiction.  With the growing epidemic, strengthened penalties and additional tools for law enforcement will be in place.

The bill also ensures the safe use of naloxone, an overdose antidote.
