Chief Meteorologist Rachael Witter Finishes Her First Boilermaker 15K!

See her reaction from the finish line

Well, the race is over for this year. For those of you who ran this morning congratulations and we hope you're enjoying the rest that you have earned.

The elite come from many different countries and so do thousands of other people including locals from our area. And that includes our very own Rachael.

Here with Chief meteorologist, Rachael Witter she just finished her first 15K Rachael,  tell us what happened.

I mean, it is such a cool experience. 9.3 miles is a long way but the crowd just carries . I ran faster than i thought. It is cool for people coming from all over the world to support, just to run, and I mean, the crowd really makes this event the city really makes this event and it is so cool to be a part of it for the first time. I was proud of myself the whole time just because i was here. I showed up. I don't care if I finished. I was not really caring too much about my time. But, you know, this is just so cool. And, if I can do it, anyone can do it. I think that it is a neat way to experience the city, to see the city in a different way so I'm so glad that i did it. And I'm so glad the weather held up because I think it was on everyone's mind pretty much the whole month.
