Central New York Mourns Loss of Robin Williams

Known for his wide variety of roles, comic relief, and kind heart Robin Williams was loved by many. And it's that lasting legacy that fans here in Central New York will remember him by. He was a genius in comedy and left an impression on everyone who saw his work. Local fans tell Eyewitness News, they will always keep their favorite character he played-- close to their heart. Legendary comedian and actor Robin Williams is dead at the age of 63, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office in California. Sheriff's Investigators say the coroner's office believes his death was a suicide. His death was reported to emergency dispatchers around 11:55 a.m. on Monday morning. Law enforcement and fire officials responded to his home in Tiburon, Calif. Their preliminary investigation indicates that he was asphyxiated. They are still investigating the incident, however. The Sheriff's Office says he was last seen alive around 10 p.m. on Sunday night.
