Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse University basketball coach Jim Boeheim told ESPN on Wednesday morning that he went “too far” in his reaction to a late-game charge call at Duke.

The Hall of Fame coach was given two technical fouls when he stormed the court as CJ Fair was called for a charge with just over 10 seconds remaining.

The Orange lost to Duke 66-60 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Boeheim made the concession on Colin Cowherd’s show “The Herd” on ESPN Radio.

Boeheim had never been ejected from a game before during his career as a head coach.

More details on Boeheim’s comments are available on ESPN.go.com.
