Hey meteor shower fans, after a several month break, meteor showers are back! The first in awhile peaks Monday night, July 29, 2013, and it is called the Delta Aquarids, because of the location in the night sky that the appear to eminate from. The peak overnight, in the southern sky, and at a rate of about 15-25 per hour. Not a big event, more of a warm up to one of the biggest...coming in a couple weeks (Perseids), but it's notable. Now unfortunately, cloud cover overnight will make it tough to justify hanging around to find any...but I thought you'd like to know.
