    This week we're speaking with Dr. Chahfe about difficulty swallowing.  This is a common symptom that can be a warning  sign of more serious health issues including head and neck cancer and stroke. 

    There is a relationship between age and difficulty swallowing and this is much more common in elderly people.

    Options for treatment can be both medical and surgical, but the surgical option can be varied considerably based on the condition and the patient.
